Blogg 25/03/2012 …Messiah, Japanese food, Red Barn Studio

Weather is warming up again. Ick. I prefer it cooler. I prefer my winter clothes to summer clothes. Oh well.

Sunday I had lunch with my cousin Bill. I so enjoy his company! Interesting. And he knows so much family history! I am glad he has moved back here. He has little family like me. Lots of relatives of mine around here but very few give me the time of day. Any day.

Sunday afternoon was dress rehearsal for the Messiah. Had to stand far too long for me in one place. The hall was a bit too warm for me. My back hurt but it was tolerable. I think we did pretty good. We had student soloists. They were all very good. I enjoyed hearing them.

Today I took my granddaughter Ashley out to eat. We ate at the Diamaru Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi. My fave place. I had shrimp and salmon with crab rangoon. Excellent!!! It was sure fun to see her and chat. We must do this more often.

Late this afternoon we had a docent meeting at the Red Barn Studio. Father Frank Cody was our speaker. He was a friend of Lester Raymer’s. He gave us a lot of insight to Lester’s religious paintings and art. We also had wine and cheese and crackers. Always fun!! Tried a new wine. It was dessert sweet. And wonderful!! I do not like a dry wine and prefer something sweet. Must buy me a bottle!
